About Vanessa Matsui
Vanessa Matsui is a writer-actor-director from Toronto who is fourth-generation Japanese (Yonsei). She is currently at work directing her first full-length feature film and is a writing advisor with Sundance Co//ab's core TV writing course. Vanessa created, wrote, and stars in the critically acclaimed short series GHOST BFF, which was nominated for six Canadian Screen Awards over two seasons and has screened at festivals globally and is starring in National Geographic's anticipated true-crime drama, Hot Zone: Anthrax airing this November.
Vanessa's conversation with Natalie will touch on the theme of owning our whole self, imperfectly, and how to trust and move ahead on the vision we have for the impact we want to create.
