space for ease

SPACE FOR EASE

in these darker days of not knowing
can we just find some ease?

can we allow for the messiness
the confusion
the frustration
the slow
and the boredom?

the fear is turned up again
but it needn't turn up inside of us

trust that this too shall pass
and so too the short-lived ease that this moment gifts

let tenderness be our maxim
let the day's effort drop to 60 per cent
and let this ease be enough

the clarity we are seeking
will come
as we make space for ease.
